Elaine (St George) Deschenes, 81 of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully on March 28th. She was the wife of the late Norman Deschenes. They were married for 60 years. Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Raymond and Irene (Bouthillier) St. George. She was employed by Ann & Hope before retiring in 1986.
She is survived by three daughters, Robin Berard and her husband Mark, Donna Fiske and her husband Robert, and Karen Vieira and her husband Steve, and son, Stephen Deschenes. She was the beloved "Memere" to her nine grandchildren, Leanne Languirand, Renee Berard, John, Michael, Kevin and Tracy Abreu, Stephen Jr and & Stephanie Deschenes and Ryan Vieira, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Norman and Roland St George.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 1st at 11am in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd, Woonsocket. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 State St #200, Providence, RI 02908.
